JACET JOURNAL
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
  1. Requirements
    1. Membership in JACET
      Contributors and co-authors must be members of JACET. Note that membership application takes time for processing.
       
    2. Papers will not be accepted for the subsequent issue of JACET Journal from contributors and /or co-authors.
       
  2. Editorial Policy
    1. JACET Journal, a refereed journal, encourages submission of the following:
      • full-length articles on methods, pedagogical research, and topics of significance to all college English teachers
      • book reviews in relevant areas
      • research notes of a practical bent to share findings and insights
         
    2. Papers submitted to JACET Journal must not have been previously published, nor should they be under consideration for publication in other journals.
       
    3. All rights reserved. No part of this publication may be reproduced without the prior permission of JACET.
       
  3. Guidelines
    1. Full-length articles must be no more than 20 pages (6,000 words) on A4 paper, including references, figures, tables, and appendix. Book reviews and research notes must be no more than 10 pages on A4 paper.
       
    2. All manuscripts must be in English or Japanese.
       
    3. All submissions to JACET Journal should conform to the requirements of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 5th edition.
       
      1. Create a file in Microsoft Word (2000 or later) format.
      2. Do not justify right margins.
      3. Leave margins of 1 inch (2.5cm) on all sides of every page. There are 26 lines to a page.
      4. Use 12-point Times New Roman.
      5. For pagination, use Arabic numerals placed in the upper right-hand corner of each page.
      6. Running heads should be avoided.
      7. The manuscript should not have any textual references to the author(s).

    4. A manuscript should include:
      • title
      • abstract in English (no more than 200 words)
      • key words (no more than 5 words)
         
    5. A cover sheet should include:
      • title
      • author’s name
      • author’s affiliation
      • mailing address, telephone/fax number, and e-mail address
      • research field(s) of your paper according to the list below:
        early ELT, English linguistics, English usage, ESP, grammar, immersion education, interlanguage, language policy, learner beliefs, learning strategies, lexicography, listening, motivation, pedagogy, phonetics, phonology, pragmatics, pronunciation, psycholinguistics, reading, semantics, SLA, sociolinguistics, speaking, syntax, teacher education, testing/assessment, vocabulary, writing
         
    6. The submission packet must include:
      • One original manuscript with a cover sheet
      • Three copies of the manuscripts with no reference to the author(s)
      • One CD-ROM with the name(s) of the author(s)
         
    7. The complete manuscript should reach the JACET office no later than April 26 for publication in the October issue, and no later than October 1 for publication in the March issue.
       
    8. Manuscripts which do not conform to the guidelines will not be considered for publication.
       
    9. Manuscripts and CD-ROMs will not be returned.
       
    10. JACET Journal provides authors with 20 free reprints of published full-length articles, reviews and research notes.

日本語論文執筆要項
  1. 字体は明朝体で10.5ポイント。
  2. A4版横書き 横39字、縦26行で合計20枚以内。
  3. 英文200語以内のabstract を添える。
  4. タイトルは和文と英文を併記する。
  5. その他の条件(提出要項、参考文献)は英文の論文に準じる。
